The curved doorway casts a shadow across his figure. A slash of light cutting across the breast plate and picking up hints of the Wookie scalps that he collects as trophies. About the artist:
Kim Gromoll has been designing, illustrating and painting for over 30 years.
He has been a designer for Universal Studios Orlando the past 15 years. In that time he has designed hundreds of projects for live entertainment including haunted houses for their award winning Halloween Horror Nights, concert stages, parades, themed vehicles, show sets and more.
His other theme park clients include Walt Disney World, SeaWorld,
Nickelodeon Studios, Ripley’s Entertainment and many, smaller themed entertainment companies.
As a freelance illustrator, Kim has painted the artwork for over 600 postage stamps and numerous magazine, book and game box covers. He designed and painted a series of murals for family play centers throughout northern Italy and Switzerland. His paintings have been featured in galleries in St. Augustine and Key West Florida.
His love of Star Wars, Disney and all things Geek, has brought him to a partnership with Acme Archives and his first limited edition print for Lucasfilm. Boba’s Hunt, a portrait of the most famous bounty hunter in film history.
